I was only 17 when 9/11 happened. I will never forget that day. I was at SDSU attending a science lab. MAn 10 years have past by fast, but the memories are still fresh. We will overcome our problems as a nation. God bless America.

For your birthday I was going to give you a flag I flew over Iraq in a small drone I was flying to provide surveillance over our troops. I'll take it to you next time I go down. I had been out of the navy for a couple of years and was dressing to go to work, when the second plane hit I knew we were under attack. I went back into the reserves and ended my career with a tour in Iraq.

Time to pull out your copy of Bruce's "VH-1 Storytellers" where Bruce analyzes some of his songs line by line. "Blinded By The Light" is the second song on the show!

I do think he became a better lyricist as he went along though. Too much Dylan influence in some of the early stuff...

Hey Dennis. I see the next fiesta is coming up pretty quick. It seems everytime I try to make it to one of your fiestas something always comes up , family, or work. Either way my plans get moved around. I'm trying to make time to go to this next one I've been very curious to see one of these fiestas. Hopefully I'll make in time on the 9th. I'm planning to swing by this coming up Saturday the 4th. Look for my email i have Melany in mind ; )
